Dr Wilkins began his schooling at Florida State University where he graduated with a Cum Laude bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology. He would follow that with admission to Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine in Miami Shores. At Barry University he would spend time helping treat some of Miami’s needy at the Camilus House Clinic, in addition to the valuable teaching that was afforded to him.
After achieving his degree as Doctor of Podiatric Medicine, he attended the Westside Regional Medical Center Podiatric Surgical Residency in Plantation, FL. It was here that he completed 3 years of training in reconstructive surgery of the foot & ankle. Upon completion of residency training he graduated as Co-Chief Resident in Podiatric Medicine and Surgery with distinction in Reconstructive Rearfoot and Ankle Surgery.
Dr Wilkins training has encompassed all areas of foot care from routine diabetic and wound care with limb salvage of foot and ankle trauma, sports medicine and reconstruction of complex deformities. Presently, Dr Wilkins is board qualified with the American Board of Podiatric Surgery.
